As a Senior Business Analyst at Maark, you’ll play a central role in defining and delivering world-class products. This role is part of a cross-functional team and the ideal candidate will be excited to identify, understand and document project requirements in order to facilitate design and development efforts. We are looking for team players to jump in and collaborate on finding the best solutions, and lead internal and client communication around project scope and requirements.


We’re headquartered in Boston, MA, but have a hybrid work model—two days a week in the office and three days from home. As a senior business analyst, you will…

  • Serve as the bridge between internal or external stakeholders to identify and clarify complex business needs and collaborate with technical resources to translate these needs into technical requirements
  • Clearly and efficiently document requirements to ensure all decisions are recorded
  • Facilitate workshops in conjunction with UX to better understand business and user challenges
  • Perform gap analyses between the current state and future state recommendations
  • Document current state and future state process flows, functionality, and requirements for systems, applications, and websites
  • Support the engineering team throughout development by clarifying questions on requirements, mapping of API responses, etc.
  • Support quality assurance activities, own process changes, and ensure design changes meet the business requirements
  • Drive core Agile processes including story creation, backlog refinement, and product demos
  • Perform user acceptance testing on systems, apps, and websites
  • Manage, mentor, and train other business analysts


You may be a fit for this role if you...

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field
  • Have 5-8 years of experience as a business process analyst or technical systems analyst
  • 1+ years of mentoring or managing other business analysts or related role
  • Are comfortable in a pre-sale and post-sale environment
  • An understanding of software development life-cycle (SDLC) and experience working in one or more software development methodologies
  • Have experience in business process visualization and data modeling using UML, BPMN or other notations
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in marketing technology and have the natural curiosity to ask inquisitive questions and uncover additional use cases and dependencies
  • Have the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Have strong presentation and communication skills, particularly in listening, asking probing questions, and conveying application functionality to users and business stakeholders


Nice to have experience...

  • Certifications including CSPO, CSM, CBAP, and PMP
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Working knowledge of AEM and other Adobe solutions
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, JS and CSS
  • Jira and Confluence usage
