All digital designers at Maark share a passion for great design. As a Creative Intern at Maark, you will work as part of our growing creative team, supporting designers on world-class products and interfaces across multiple industries. Your work will contribute to the creation of intuitive, engaging experiences for our users. Knowledge of design fundamentals, as well as a curious, disciplined mind, are the primary traits that will help you succeed at Maark. 



Logistics

  • College students only; applicants in their junior year and above preferred but all interested students are encouraged to apply
  • Paid internship; for-credit applicants also considered
  • Internship’s expected to run from late June to mid-August
  • Accepting full-time (30-40 hours/week) interns
  • Monday through Friday between 9am-5pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays are mandatory in Charlestown, MA office days
  • Vehicle not required, office accessible by public transportation



Responsibilities  

  • Support team members in the design of new products, existing products, brands, and campaigns. 
  • Job shadow team members to learn how their day-to-day impacts the larger organization. 
  • Receive job training and mentorship that will expand your skill set. 



Qualifications (Must have)  

  • You are working towards getting a BFA/BS degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, Social Science, Cognitive/Behavioral Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.  
  • You have familiarity with Figma and/or the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). 
  • You have knowledge of typography, composition, visual systems, interaction design, visual design, and a design process. 
  • You are familiar with human-centered design processes and eager to learn from real users.  
  • You are able to build relationships with internal team members.  
  • You are able to work both independently and within a highly-collaborative environment.

  • Work from home 3 days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). Everyone local to Boston is in the Boston office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
